The Ladder (2024)

Role: Producer
The Ladder is a short, dialogue-free film centered around tension, pursuit, and psychological ambiguity. The assignment required us to create a story involving a ladder without using any spoken dialogue, which pushed us to rely entirely on visual storytelling, pacing, and sound design.
The film follows a man being chased through a stairwell by an unknown figure whose face is never clearly revealed. As the tension builds, he escapes outside, exhausted and disoriented. Suddenly, a ladder appears, allowing him to climb to the rooftop in an attempt to escape.
Once on the roof, he pulls the ladder up behind him, believing he is finally safe. However, when he turns around, he is confronted by the figure — revealed to be himself. The film ends on this moment of realization, leaving the audience questioning whether the chase was physical or psychological.
This project focused on suspense, visual tension, and storytelling without dialogue, allowing me to explore how movement, framing, and atmosphere can communicate emotion and narrative.
